The 2017 Double Angel Foundation scholarship recipients attribute their strength of character and determination to their participation in baseball and softball. Two of the four winners – Justin Vaughn of Lutheran High School and Andrew Psaltis of Chaparral High School – also noted on their scholarship applications that baseball is a game built on failure even though perfection and success are the goals.
