Sports Scholarships

The Double Angel Foundation’s goal is to award up to $8,000 annually in sports scholarships to area youth ages 5 to 18. This scholarship can be used for high school baseball, special needs baseball programs and girls’ softball to cover registration fees, uniforms and equipment.

“We don’t want to see an enthusiastic, young, potential ballplayer not get to learn or continue playing baseball because the family is struggling financially, and we hope to offer assistance through this program,” according to the DAF Board. “Our desire is to grow the game of baseball, one child at a time.”

Since 2002, DAF has given more than $87,000 in sports scholarships to youth ages 5 to 18 and high school seniors. Beginning in 2019, the DAF Board changed the available recipients to cover youth ages 5 to 18 living in the Douglas County (Colorado) area.

In addition to these scholarships, DAF contributes to various teams and leagues, with more than $40,000 being donated since its inception in 2000.
