Denver metro area baseball and softball players between the ages of 5 and 18 may be eligible for a scholarship to help defray the cost of playing their sport.
The Double Angel Foundation (DAF) grants up to $8,000 in sports scholarships each year to metro area youth who may need some financial assistance to play high school baseball, special needs baseball programs and girls’ softball. The funds can be used to cover registration fees, uniforms and equipment.
The scholarship program was created in honor of Dillon and Logan Dixey, two Parker brothers who loved baseball but tragically drowned in 2000 after being overcome by carbon monoxide while swimming at the rear of a houseboat on Lake Powell.
